Privacy policy

This document sets out the privacy policy of the Merkaz HaTahara website (Registered Association 580678456). Use of the site constitutes agreement to this policy.

What information is collected

• ✓Information you provide yourself: name, phone, email, city and the content of your inquiry — in contact forms and the inquiry center.
• ✓Donation details: name, contact details, amount, designation and dedication. Payment instrument details are never stored by us.
• ✓Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed — for security and service improvement.
• ✓Information about personal-portal users (gabbaim and balaniyot): account details, correspondence and shared documents.

What the information is used for

• ✓Responding to inquiries and handling requests with the relevant department
• ✓Recording donations and issuing tax-deductible receipts
• ✓Managing our relationship with mikveh gabbaim and balaniyot in the personal portal
• ✓Updates about the organization's work — for those who asked to receive them
• ✓Improving the site, securing it and preventing abuse

Payments and clearing

Payments on the site are processed through the Nedarim Plus system, on the clearing company's secure page. Credit card details are entered directly into the clearing system; they do not pass through and are not stored on the organization's servers. The organization receives confirmation of the donation and the donor details that the donor provided.

Disclosure to third parties

The organization does not sell or rent personal information to third parties. Information is disclosed only to service providers acting on the organization's behalf (hosting, mailing, payment processing), to the extent required to perform the service, or where a legal obligation or judicial order requires it.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that are essential to its operation — maintaining the login state of the personal portal, language preference and security. Cookies can be blocked in your browser settings, but blocking them may impair parts of the site.

Information security

The site is protected by encrypted traffic (HTTPS). Access to information in the management system is restricted by role, passwords are stored only in encrypted form, and actions in the system are logged. Nevertheless, no system is entirely immune to intrusion — and we work continuously to reduce the risk.

Retention and your rights

Information is retained as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected and as required by law (including an association's record-keeping duties). At any time you may contact us to review the information held about you, correct it, delete it, or remove yourself from our mailing list — at 02-632-7777 or merkaztahara.o@gmail.com.

Minors

The site is not intended to knowingly collect information from minors under the age of 18. If we become aware that such information has been provided, it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

The organization may update this policy from time to time. The binding version is the one published on this page, and the date of the most recent update appears at its top.
